入境事務處宣布，明日起，尼泊爾國民乘搭航機直接過境而不離開機場過境候機室，可免簽證直接過境香港特別行政區。其他有關尼泊爾國民進入香港特區的簽證安排維持不變。 尼泊爾是「一帶一路」沿線國家。入境處表示，在「一帶一路」倡議下，新安排能為該國旅客帶來便利，有助鞏固香港國際航空樞紐的地位。
Starting tomorrow, nationals of Nepal who are in direct transit by air and do not leave the airport transit area may transit the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region visa-free, the Immigration Department announced today. Other visa arrangements for nationals of Nepal coming to the Hong Kong SAR will remain unchanged. Under the Belt & Road Initiative, the new arrangement will bring travel convenience to visitors from Nepal and enhance Hong Kong’s status as an international aviation hub, the department added.
In view of the latest situation in Saudi Arabia, the Government today removed the amber outbound travel alert for Saudi Arabia as a whole, while maintaining an amber alert for Saudi Arabia's border regions with Yemen only. The Government said that it reviews the situation of the countries from time to time and makes corresponding adjustments to the outbound travel alert level. The Security Bureau will also issue updates through the media, the bureau's mobile app and the outbound travel alert webpage. Hong Kong residents who need assistance when travelling outside Hong Kong can call the 24-hour hotline at (852) 1868, call the 1868 hotline using network data or use the 1868 Chatbot via the department's mobile app. They can also send a message to the 1868 WhatsApp assistance hotline or 1868 WeChat assistance hotline, or submit the online assistance request form. Hong Kong residents are encouraged to use the online Registration of Outbound Travel Information service to register their contact details and itinerary when outside Hong Kong. The information provided allows the Immigration Department to disseminate practical information to them through appropriate means when necessary.
