Intensity of UV radiation : low An intense winter monsoon is gradually affecting inland Guangdong. Temperatures over Hong Kong are expected to fall appreciably overnight. The weather will be persistently cold in the morning in the next couple of days (10 to 12 January). Temperatures will be around 11 to 12 degrees in the urban areas, and the weather will be very cold over parts of the New Territories and on high ground. Winds will be occasionally strong on high ground where wind chill effect will be more significant. Under clear skies, radiation cooling will be rather significant overnight during the weekend with chance of frost over inland areas of the New Territories and on high ground. Members of the public are reminded to keep warm and take care of the elderly persons and persons with chronic medical conditions.
