Intensity of UV radiation : moderate The area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is loosely organised. It has made landfall near Xiangzhou, Zhuhai after 1 p.m. It moved into the western part of the Pearl River Estuary, away from Hong Kong. Under the influence of the active southwesterly airstream to its eastern and southern sides, local winds are occasionally strong offshore and on high ground. Depending on the change in local wind conditions, the Observatory will consider issuing the Strong Monsoon Signal.
The rainbands of the area of low pressure are mainly located to its south. They are expected to edge closer to the coast of Guangdong gradually. Locally, there will be occasional showers and squally thunderstorms later today to tomorrow at first. Showers will be heavier in some areas. Members of the public please take note of the latest weather information from the Observatory. The air temperatures at other places were:
