Intensity of UV radiation : moderate The broad area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone gradually today and tomorrow (9 and 10 June). Depending on its rate of development and the time of entering within 800 kilometres of Hong Kong, the Observatory will issue the Standby Signal, No. 1 between Tuesday night (10 June) and early Wednesday (11 June) the earliest. The tropical cyclone is expected to move in the general direction of the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong to Hainan Island in the middle and latter parts of this week. Depending on its distance from Hong Kong and the rate of development, the Observatory will assess the need of issuing a higher Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal later on Wednesday to Thursday (12 June). Locally, very hot weather will persist in the next couple of days (10 and 11 June). However, with the tropical cyclone edging closer, the weather will be windy with occasional squally showers in the latter part of this week, and there will be swells. Since the change in weather will be rather substantial, members of the public please pay attention to the latest weather forecast from the Observatory. 位 於 南 海 中 部 的 廣 闊 低 壓 區 預 料 會 在 今 明 兩 日 （ 6 月 9 日 及 10 日 ） 逐 漸 發 展 為 熱 帶 氣 旋 ， 天 文 台 將 視 乎 其 發 展 速 度 和 進 入 本 港 800 公 里 範 圍 的 時 間 ， 最 早 在 星 期 二 晚 （ 6 月 10 日 ） 至 星 期 三 初 時 （ 6 月 11 日 ） 發 出 一 號 戒 備 信 號 。 預 料 該 熱 帶 氣 旋 在 本 週 中 後 期 大 致 移 向 廣 東 西 部 沿 岸 至 海 南 島 一 帶 ， 天 文 台 會 視 乎 其 與 本 港 的 距 離 和 發 展 速 度 ， 評 估 是 否 需 要 在 星 期 三 稍 後 至 星 期 四 （ 6 月 12 日 ） 改 發 更 高 熱 帶 氣 旋 警 告 信 號 。 本 港 未 來 一 兩 日 （ 6 月 10 日 及 11 日 ） 持 續 酷 熱 ， 但 隨 著 該 熱 帶 氣 旋 靠 近 ， 本 週 後 期 風 勢 頗 大 ， 間 中 有 狂 風 驟 雨 ， 海 有 湧 浪 。 由 於 天 氣 變 化 較 大 ， 市 民 請 留 意 天 文 台 的 最 新 天 氣 預 報 。
