由去年12月起,香港賽馬會災難防護應變教研中心與香港聖公會麥理浩夫人中心團體及社區工作部(私人樓宇服務)合辦「『無惘。知災』舊區居民社區教育計劃」,為葵青區的基層市民提供防災教育,加強市民於面對災害時的應變能力。 其中,「劏房衞生全接觸」社區教育推廣站已在5月展開,內容包括有關環境安全及衞生、火警逃生等有用資訊,亦會教授如何製作環保驅蟲包,減低區內蚊蟲傳疾病的傳播風險。   以下為社區教育推廣站的詳情,歡迎葵涌區市民前往參觀。

Two representatives of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute (HKJCDPRI) participated in the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM) Congress held on 7 – 10 May 2019. The WADEM Congress is a biennial international event which provides an interactive and stimulating environment for participants to share research and findings, exchange ideas and best practices and network with peers.

香港賽馬會災難防護應變教研中心於5月17日起在《香港01》新聞網站推出【防災零距離】系列,每星期跟讀者分享防災訊息,為應對不同災難作好準備。 災害風險無處不在,任何人都可以成為當中主角,但同時間,防災的意識和行動,亦是任何人都能學懂和做到的。【防災零距離】專欄以此為宗旨,由教研中心撰寫,跟讀者從以往發生過的災難去反思和學習,並集結不同地方和專家的防災知識和經驗,希望讓讀者感到「防災」其實不難,也不是很遙不可及的事。   日期 標題 2019年8月3 日

為了提高小朋友的防災意識,香港賽馬會災難防護應變教研中心特別設計了「防災達人」卡通角色和「防災小將」主題曲,期望每位小朋友都可以從小培養防災意識,並建立安全社區。   「防災達人」的四個特質包括「通風報信」天線、「一眼關七」眼仔、「耳聽八方」耳仔以及「膽大心細」心心。「防災達人」懂得認識危機,因應不同類型的危機做好計劃,及學懂應變方法,便能做到「防災」和「應變」。
