According to the present forecast, the tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea will intensify. The Observatory will issue the Standby Signal, No. 1 at 7:40 a.m. The tropical cyclone is expected to move in the general direction of the vicinity of Hainan Island to Beibu Wan today and tomorrow (2 and 3 July). It will maintain a distance of 400 kilometres or more from Hong Kong. Under its influence, local winds will strengthen on Friday and weather will become unsettled. There will be swells. Squally showers will increase gradually, and showers will be heavier in some areas. Due to the effect of terrain, gale force winds may affect parts of high ground briefly. With the tropical cyclone making landfall over the western coast of southern China during the weekend (4 to 5 July), local weather will be dominated by an active southerly airstream gradually. It will still be windy with occasional showers and squally thunderstorms. Members of the public should take note of the latest weather information from the Observatory. 由導彈驅逐艦南寧艦、導彈護衞艦衡陽艦組成的中國人民解放軍海軍南寧艦編隊今日抵達香港，組織開放參觀和文化交流活動。行政長官李家超感謝國家對香港的關懷和支持，並熱烈歡迎南寧艦編隊到港。 南寧艦和衡陽艦今日上午在特區政府船隊、解放軍駐香港部隊艦艇伴航下駛經維多利亞港，之後抵達昂船洲軍營。 李家超在昂船洲軍營出席歡迎儀式。他致辭時指，這次南寧艦編隊到港，是繼去年7月和10月兩支國家海軍艦隊來港後，一年內再有海軍艦艇到港，充分體現國家對香港的高度重視、關心和支持。 他指出，今年是中國共產黨成立105周年，也是香港回歸祖國29周年，南寧艦編隊在這個重要時刻到港，有三個重大意義。 第一，展示國防科技實力，堅定民族自信。南寧艦是國家自主研發建造的052D型導彈驅逐艦，具備區域防空、對海突擊、反潛搜索等綜合作戰能力，是現役主力戰艦。它展現新時代國防和軍隊建設的成就、國防科技的持續突破，讓大眾親眼見證國防科技自主創新的實力，深切感受國家安全堅如磐石，更讓大眾深刻認識：國家強，則民族立；民族興，則香江安。 第二，彰顯海務上的責任擔當，激發民族自豪。南寧艦入列五年來，已執行亞丁灣護航、蘇丹撤僑、多國海上聯演和常態化戰備警巡等多個任務，累計航程超過20萬海里。人民海軍從淺海走向深藍、從近防走向遠護，是國家綜合實力、科技實力、國防實力跨越式發展的縮影。南寧艦編隊一次又一次的遠海行動，展示國家維護地區和世界和平的堅定決心與強大能力，讓大眾感到無比自豪。 第三，感受國防力量強大，厚植愛國情懷。編隊開放艦艇供市民參觀，為大眾提供難得機會，親身感受國家軍事力量的強大。年輕人通過與官兵互動交流，學習軍人紀律嚴明、堅韌不拔、愛國奉獻的精神。這是一堂生動的愛國教育課，必將在年輕一代心中生根發芽，激勵他們未來為中華民族偉大復興貢獻更大力量。 有參與歡迎儀式的學生表示，首次親睹兩艘軍艦，感到非常震撼，也希望了解艦上的軍備。其中，張同學表示，看到南寧艦逐漸靠近的時候感到很安心，因為中國有如此強大、堅實的軍事戰備，大眾才可在這麼安全的環境下生活。 李同學則指，雖然鋼鐵冰冷，但軍艦靠近可溫暖大眾的心，是祖國帶來的安心，保衞國家安全，讓學生安穩長大。李同學也對炮彈發射裝置感興趣，希望了解其射程和威力。 南寧艦編隊向特區政府和香港市民發問候電，指適值香港回歸祖國29周年之際赴港組織開放參觀和文化交流活動，全體官兵使命在肩、倍感光榮。編隊期盼與特區政府、香港市民共敍軍民情誼，譜寫時代讚歌。有隨艦隊來港的軍官表示，希望向民眾展示海軍和人民軍隊最好的一面。 南寧艦編隊軍官雷霄指，這是他首次來港，感覺美麗的東方之珠名不虛傳。他又指，在軍艦甲板上看到歡迎隊伍，感到市民非常熱情，希望將這種熱情化作強軍事業征程上不絕的動力。 首次到港的南寧艦和衡陽艦在港停靠期間會開展軍事體驗、訓練展示、文藝展演等互動交流活動。除向青少年、學生等群體開放，市民也可預約參觀，更深入了解新時代國防和軍隊建設的發展情況。
