The HKJCDPRI was established in 2014 with an aim of fostering Hong Kong as a prepared community to disasters through collaborative learning and knowledge dissemination across various sectors. Five years of the establishment phase project have passed with more than 60,000 participants involved in the project. From November 2019, we have entered the second phase of our new project titled “Building Disaster Resilience of Hong Kong”. The goal of our new phase of project is to build disaster resilience of Hong Kong through people-centred, all-hazards and multi-sectoral disaster risk reduction strategies based on informed understanding of disaster risks and solutions.
In the new phase, we will expand sectors of collaboration, create a common goal for cross-sector partnership and develop creative approaches that leverage the best thinking from all sectors. Please stay tuned with us via our website with our new website name, “www.ready.com.hk (English) or www.防災.香港 (Chinese)” and our Facebook !
