Intensity of UV radiation : very high The area of low pressure near Luzon has intensified into a tropical depression and is located within 800 kilometres of Hong Kong. According to the present forecast, the tropical cyclone will linger over the northern part of Luzon in the next couple of days and intensify gradually. It will then move in the general direction of the seas east of Taiwan. The tropical cyclone is expected to maintain a distance of over 600 kilometres from Hong Kong and its direct threat to the territory is not high. Locally, there will be sunny periods and a few showers in the next few days. It will be very hot on Friday and Saturday. Hot weather might cause adverse health effects.
