為協助非政府組織及各界人士應對緊急情況或災難事件所帶來的挑戰，香港賽馬會災難防護應變教研中心將推出一系列免費「網上分享會」，分享不同的應變措施及策略，並透過網上平台促進業界交流。
首場分享會已於7月15日圓滿舉行。活動反應熱烈，82名來自56間機構的同工及專業人士抽空出席。是次分享會主題為「持續業務應變計劃 (Business Continuity Planning(BCP))」，由教研中心總監羅信堂先生主講，以其三十年應急管理及相關培訓經驗，為參加者深入淺出地講解BCP的重要性及相關運作，並詳細介紹計劃的制定步驟及實施方案。

「無惘。知災」舊區居民社區教育計劃」為教研中心的防災能力建設計劃2018-2019的計劃之一，其中的「有關風災對不適切居所居民影響調查」已於2019年5-7月順利進行，並成功訪問了104位居於住葵青區不適切居所的住戶。
調查有效地探討住戶的防災意識、所需的防災及災後支援等，此調查旨在讓社會大眾更了解基層市民的風災應對需要，並提出相關建議以改善情況。
