（可按這裏收看整個會見傳媒的手語翻譯短片。） 保安局局長鄧炳強表示，本港今年上半年錄得43,407宗罪案，較去年同期下跌4.2%；破案率26.4%，與去年同期相若。至於暴力罪案則有4,361宗，下跌15.4%；破案率55.1%，較去年同期上升五個百分點。 鄧炳強今日出席撲滅罪行委員會會議後會見傳媒時說，今年上半年本港大部分罪案均錄得跌幅，期內錄得升幅的主要是嚴重毒品案和詐騙案。 詐騙案有20,760宗，較去年同期上升4.3%，佔整體罪案數字約48%。 嚴重毒品案上半年有591宗，較去年同期上升2.4%，其中約四分一與依托咪酯有關。此外，上半年有327人被呈報吸食「太空油毒品」，較去年同期上升2.8倍。 鄧炳強表示，為防止毒犯繼續利用「太空油」的名稱刻意美化含依托咪酯的毒品，誘騙年輕人吸食，當局決定由今日起，將其正式命名為依托咪酯，其敍述方法與大麻、可卡因等其他毒品一樣，均是直接以其名稱陳述毒品的本質。
