The intense areas of thundery showers which affected the territory during the small hours are gradually departing. However, areas of thundery showers are still developing over the waters south of Hong Kong and moving slowly towards the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary. They may affect the territory in the next few hours.
Members of the public should continue to pay attention to weather tips and warning messages issued by the Observatory before going to work or school. Intense gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may affect Hong Kong. Members of public should seek safe shelter as soon as possible. Please be reminded that:The Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal has been issued.The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 6:30 a.m. today.
