Areas of intense thundery showers associated with a broad trough of low pressure are affecting Hong Kong. Whether the Red Rainstorm Warning Signal needs to be issued depends on the development of the areas of thundery showers. Members of the public should stay on high alert and take note of the latest weather information. Intense gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may affect Hong Kong.
