HKJCDPRI’s Annual Multi-Media Competition Winners Showcased their Knowledge of Disaster Preparedness

Disasters happen everywhere. No matter how old you are, you can prepare for disasters. Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute (HKJCDPRI) encourages children to be well prepared for disasters: Always be aware of your surroundings, stay cautious to potential risks at all time, protect oneself and take care of others.

Through interactive learning, we help children to master knowledge on disaster preparedness. To arouse the interests of children, HKJCDPRI organises Annual Multi-Media Competition (MMC) on disaster preparedness. Participants were required to demonstrate their understanding of disaster preparedness creatively. This year, HKJCDPRI also created a song for disaster preparedness titled “Get Ready!” to remind young audience that disasters can happen at any time and encourage them to develop a right attitude towards disasters.

The competition attracted over 280 submissions in total and was successfully completed on 31st July 2019. A panel of judges were invited to assess the distinguished works as below:
