Teaching Plan Design Competition on Disaster Education in Kindergartens
Teachers from kindergarten and kindergarten-cum-child care centres (hereafter collectively referred to as kindergartens) are encouraged to devise teaching plans to sharpen awareness and knowledge on various disasters through early childhood education.
Background of competition

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute, in collaboration with the Department of Early Childhood Education of the Education University of Hong Kong is organising the competition.

Eligibility

In-service teachers of kindergarten in Hong Kong (Teaching assistants and specialist teachers are also eligible).

Teaching plans

Original works, designed for face-to-face tuition or online learning for disaster preparedness, are needed to be appropriate for teaching children aged 3 to 6.

Awards

The panel of judges will select 10 awardees (one Overall Champion and three winners respectively of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards) from each of Groups A and B who will be presented with certificates and cash awards.
