The “Disaster Research & Information Hub” aims to provide a centralized hub for the latest research, evidence, information and news relating to disasters and their human health impact. With a focus on Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management, this platform will highlight the latest trends and new knowledge relating to disaster health preparedness, risk literacy and resilience.

The Hub consists of four major sections:

  • Disaster Publications – contains researches, studies, articles or academic publications on disaster-related topics from various researchers, institutions or organizations around the world.
  • Directory - provides an overview of the institutions or journals dedicated to disaster research globally.
  • Terminology - list out the definition of disaster-related terminology, which is actively maintained by a group of scholars, to aim at providing a common language to facilitate ideas exchange and research collaboration.
  • News & Info - provides a quick-glance to disaster-related news, alerts and information.

The “Disaster Research & Information Hub” is facilitated as part of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute project. It is developed and managed by the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with hub development funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
